Drawing of Tony Jaa, star of Ong Bak, pretty awsome movie.
It was created using Derwent Drawing Pencils on medium grain cartridge paper.
For anyone who is interested Derwents new range of drawing pencils are excellent, they are very soft and waxy, much softer than normal pencils and they allow you to do great blending work with them.

This one is sweet too, I like the way the background and the pants sort of meld together to attract the eyes to the skin - the muscle depth and definition is really good.

Thanks I spent a lot of time working on the muscle areas, multiple layers of pencil worked over the top of each other and blended together.

Lol - that's better. This is really amazing, the colouring is just brilliant... I mean, you can actually see the viens sticking out in his arms....

I'm always looking to improve, I just started drawing again recently after too many years absence. I think this is one of my best works, but I was never totally happy with the face and hair, just something about them I couldn't get quite right.
